About me
Hi, I’m Jillian!
I love every aspect of food. Whether it’s cultivating it, harvesting it, or preparing it, the entire process inspires and fascinates me. I'm a firm believer that food can be used to heal, nourish and prevent many of the physical and mental ailments people face in today's world.
I have made it my mission to help others learn the tools to live happy, healthy, and overall balanced lifestyles. I enjoy sharing my expertise on nutrition and natural living in today’s crazy world of mass-marketed trends that may not always be “good” or “healthy”. I look forward to guiding you in learning what your individual body needs and thrives on. Being mindful of this and knowing the ingredients in your food and how and where they came from is the core of my food philosophy.
MY BACKGROUND
I received my bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and Elementary Education. While in college, I worked for the Garden School Foundation, a non-profit that teaches children about organic gardening and nutrition. It was there that my interest in health reached new levels. Connecting the dots with food and plants and witnessing the seed-to-table journey first-hand changed my view on eating forever. I then became certified in Culinary Nutrition where I learned how to cook nourishing, healing foods.
Today, I work with clients in a variety of ways:
one-on-one to create individualized meal plans based on your specific dietary needs and goals as well as general nutrition consulting. Complete meal plan comes with recipes, easy to follow directions, and grocery list
meal prep delivery (perfect for the person too busy to cook!)
kitchen clean outs - helping you understand which products in your pantry or refrigerator are great, and why others aren’t so wonderful. Stocking you up with clean, nourishing foods at your fingertips!
grocery store tours - showing you all my favorite healthy products and teaching the ins and out of reading ingredient labels empowering you to make healthy choices.
Additionally, I host wellness workshops and create culinary gardens.
